openEHR International Sanctions Policy

Sanctions are restrictive measures that have been put in place by UK Government that include complying with UN and other international obligations; supporting foreign policy and national security objectives, as well as maintaining international peace and security, and preventing terrorism.

The UK Government Regulations made under the ‘Sanctions and Anti-money Laundering Act ’ apply to the whole of the UK (including its territorial waters), UK nationals outside of the UK, and bodies incorporated or constituted under the law of any part of the UK.

Failure to comply with sanctions could have serious consequences for openEHR International, and we are therefore not in a position to have any direct financial relationship with organisations from the countries listed below.

In addition, individuals, organisations or other entities from this list of countries may not be involved in openEHR leadership or governance in any way.

This does not exclude participation in the openEHR community, and for those where there is a requirement to be a member of openEHR International, we would ask that you contact us so that we can look at this in more detail comms@openehr.org
