openEHR Logo Usage Policy

Introduction

This policy provides information regarding use of openEHR logos.

The logo can only be used by existing Organisational or Industry Partner members, Affiliates or individuals representing openEHR International, or others as agreed.

For non-openEHR International members, individual or professional members; agreement to use the openEHR logo must be obtained in advance by emailing comms@openehr.org

Purpose

To give instruction on the use of openEHR logos by individuals, partners, organisations, affiliates and others.

Policy

Logos are the sole and exclusive property of openEHR. 

Use of our logo implies your acceptance of, and agreement with, the terms of this policy. 

If you do not accept and agree to follow our rules as set out in this policy, you do not have the right to use the logos and should not use them. 

The use of logos that do not comply with this policy must be ceased, unless agreed and authorised separately by openEHR International.

openEHR International reserves the right to revoke use of its logos at any time.

Rules for Using the Logos

Permission is granted to you to use the Logos only on the following conditions:

Logos must not be used as part of your company logo or used in a way that suggests you are part of openEHR International business; unless you are an approved Affiliate organisation.

Affiliates or other organisations approved by openEHR International must ensure that they place an attribution under the logo use for example:-

Operating legal entity openEHR UK Foundation CIC (trading as openEHR UK),


Logos can be used by openEHR Organisational and Industry Partner members promoting your membership of openEHR on your website, for marketing, promotional and other publicity materials relating to your openEHR product / service; but in a way that does not imply that openEHR International approves or provides endorsement of you, your company, or your products / services.  

Logos may also be used by sponsors and for other promotional / presentational purposes at openEHR events or if representing openEHR International. 

openEHR Logos

Our logos are available from the openEHR website https://openehr.org/about/logos

  • Logos may be updated from time to time, and you should endeavour to ensure you use the latest logo.

  • Do not modify or alter the logos

  • Do not skew or rotate any logo

  • Do not change the design of any logo

  • Do not change or vary the colours of any logo

  • Do not combine a logo with any other design, trademark, graphic, text or other element, including your name, unless you are an approved openEHR Affiliate.

No Logo may be used or displayed in any of the following ways:

  • in any manner that discredits or tarnishes openEHR reputation and goodwill;

  • in any manner that is false or misleading;

  • in connection with any illegal activities, or other materials that are defamatory, libellous, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;

  • in any manner that violates the trademark, copyright or any other intellectual property rights of others:

You may not assert rights to any logo whether by trademark registration, domain name registration or anything else.

You must, upon request from openEHR International, provide samples of any materials that include the openEHR logos for purposes of determining compliance with this policy, and you must make any changes to your use of the openEHR logo as requested by openEHR International.

Affiliates and partners who have agreements with openEHR International must comply with the terms of their agreement in addition to this policy.

We may cancel, modify, or change the terms of this policy from time to time without notice to you. You, as a logo user are responsible for complying with any modified terms we publish.
